University of Pune

It offers excellent programmes in different areas like Humanities, Science, Commerce, Languages and Management Studies. It was established on February 10, 1948 under the Poona University Act. It occupies an area of about 411 acres. The university houses 46 academic departments. It has about 118 recognized research institutes and 269 affiliated colleges offering graduate and under-graduate courses.
